Email Chief Minister Gunner about the Expert Panel

Please make a submission today on the Terms of Reference for the NT expert panel on the fracking industry.  It's quick and easy.

All Territorians need to stand together to make sure we get the strong scientific research we need on the risks of fracking gasfields to our land and water.

The draft Terms of Reference released by the NT Labor Government are weak and inadequate and break the promises that they made before the election. Under the Labor plan, the expert panel:

  • Has no power to collect new on-ground data or do water studies,
  • Is limited to reviewing just the specific act of a hydraulic fracking,
  • Ignores the impact of spreading fracking gasfields and industrialisation across the Territory’s landscape and waterways.

If it goes ahead like this, the panel will be a stitch up designed to open up the Territory to fracking, and a terrible waste of our money.

Chief Minister Gunner says he will listen to our feedback on this draft expert panel plan. He needs to know we won’t stand for any more broken promises.

Submissions are due in by 13th October. It's critical you have your say to turn this around.
