The situation is now critical. The Andrews family have been kicked off Tarwyn Park, which is now owned and controlled by KEPCO. There is nobody on this iconic property who knows the first thing about running it.

Can you stand with the Andrews family and the people of Bylong and demand that “Tarwyn Park”, is urgently listed as a state and national heritage site, and properly protected?

“The irony – and stupidity – of possibly losing a place like Tarwyn Park to mining is simply breathtaking. What the hell are they thinking? - Gerry Harvey

Call Mark Speakman, NSW Heritage Minister

The NSW Heritage Minister, Mark Speakman, has the power to issue an Interim Heritage Order over Tarwyn Park, which would be a big step towards protecting this special site. Please take a few moments to call Minister Speakman's office now and ask him to give Tarwyn Park the protection it needs.

Call Mark Speakman

Mark Speakman Mark Speakman NSW Minister for Heritage 02 8574 6390

Remember to state your name and where you live!

Here are some suggested points to make:

  • Tarwyn Park is an icon of sustainable Australian agriculture and it must be protected from the proposed Bylong Coal Project.
  • I urge you to place an Interim Heritage Order over Tarwyn Park as soon as possible. Right now, there is nothing protecting the property, which is now owned by the mining company.
  • Please do everything in your power to protect Tarwyn Park from mining.

Be polite, and thank the Minister's staff for their time.

Make your call count, tell us how it went
