Email Premier Barnett and the WA Government

Buru Energy have plans to frack for unconventional tight gas in the Kimberley this year. Experts have estimated that more than 40,000 gas wells could be fracked in the Kimberley if the industry is allowed to proceed to full production.

Local community group Frack Free Kimberley have been working hard to get a moratorium on fracking in this iconic region. One community member and Yawuru Traditional Owner, Micklo Corpus, has been camped at a proposed fracking site, Yulleroo, and keeping Buru Energy at bay for the last 10 months.

Two weeks ago the Department of Lands moved to evict Micklo - they issued him with a letter demanding that he move from the site within 8 days. Micklo has asked for support in his effort to protect country from fracking. Will you stand with Micklo?

Please send a short email to the WA Premier and Government. They can intervene to protect the Kimberley from fracking and stop Micklo from being evicted from Yulleroo camp.
