Stop Mid West gas through Burrup Gas Hub

Stop Mid West gas through Burrup Gas Hub

One of the biggest new gas projects in WA could also lead to a massive expansion of polluting gasfields across some of the state’s most precious food growing region, the Mid West. The media has reported that Mid West gas corporations Mitsui, Beach and Strike have been in talks to export gas through the proposed gas hub Burrup, at Dampier. This gas hub proposal, coupled to the massive new gasfield Browse (off the Kimberley coast) is massive in scale, is a huge risk to our water, land and air, and will lead to huge amounts of emissions, locking us further into the dangerous impacts of a changing climate.
