Premier Baird and his government need to protect the residents of Camden and Gloucester from coal seam gas. Please take a few moments to email Mike, his mining minister Anthony Roberts, and local MPs in Camden and Gloucester, urging them to take action.

I am very concerned that coal seam gas projects are threatening the health and welfare of local communities at Camden and Gloucester.

NSW planning laws prevents new CSG projects within 2km of zoned residential areas, but this exclusion does not apply to homes in Camden, where an AGL gasfield is already operating just 200m from homes. AGL has recorded numerous breaches of its pollution licence, and local residents have complained about cracked walls and subsidence.  On Sunday 31st August, an AGL well near homes in Spring Farm leaked loudly and uncontrollably for several hours, forcing local residents to call in the fire brigade.

Gloucester families are also at risk, with your government recently changing the law to allow AGL to frack next to a residential area in Gloucester without even completing an Environmental Impact Statement. AGL are planning a gasfield of hundreds of wells in Gloucester, many of them close to homes and residential areas. AGL's Gloucester CSG approvals have been rushed through without proper assessment or open community consultation.

People living in Camden and Gloucester should have the same rights and protections as everyone else in the State. Your government urgently needs to:

- suspend AGL's approval to frack in Gloucester, and urgently review all CSG approvals there.
 - decommission all existing gas wells within 2km of homes at AGL's Camden gasfield.
 - investigate and prosecute all pollution incidents at AGL's Camden gasfield.
