End the Toxic Legacy

End the Toxic Legacy

The Federal Senate has commenced a formal Inquiry into the failures of mine rehabilitation in Australia.  Submissions are due by Monday 10th April.

State governments have allowed big mining giants to leave behind an almighty mess for communities to clean up – toxic waste, polluted waterways, ruined landscapes.

We need reforms right now at a national level to stop the damage and finally force mining companies to start cleaning up their own mess.

More information about the impacts of mine rehabilitation and the Senate Inquiry is available here.
