Caval Ridge Expansion

Caval Ridge Expansion

BHP has applied to expand their coal mine at Caval Ridge in Central Queensland. They want to keep it running until 2055, an extra 20 years! With a hot, dry El Niño summer ramping up it couldn’t be more obvious that we cannot afford any new or expanding fossil fuel projects.

Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek has asked BHP to seek public comment on their mine and if BHP doesn’t receive any submissions it'll be much easier for them to get the big green tick for their mine expansion.

Send BHP a powerful message today and let's stop the expansion of Caval Ridge Coal Mine.
